This book took me by surprise. It is a Greek mythology retelling. Hades x Persephone work together to solve the case of the kidnappings of mortals. The tension is sizzling and the spice is spicing!

Hades is the perfect amount of morally grey! I love how the underworld is described and I teared up when reading the part of the rainbow bridge for dogs that have passed. It was super sweet!

This is a fast paced, easy read with a cliffhanger that left me wanting more! I can’t wait for the second book! I highly recommend!

I’m a sucker for a good Hades and Persephone retelling because their love story is just SO GOOD. So when I came across Azzie Drauch’s social media post about her second novel I sprinted to sign up and snagged the first book in the series as well. And I am SO GLAD I did because it was absolutely phenomenal. The pacing kept me glued to my metaphorical seat, the love story checked all the boxes, and the cliffhanger? Had me sprinting for book two so fast I almost sprained an ankle 🤣 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

Any retelling of Persephone and Hades I am all in for it. This book is set in the modern world and has the Gods and Goddess interacting with mortals all in harmony. This book held my attention the entire time that it took me to read it. Persephone is living and working in the mortal world as a detective and Hades is in charge of the Divine Police force and works as a PI. Favorited mortals are being reported as missing all over the town. They decide to work together to solve the case and end up falling in love.

Meet the Author

Hi everyone, I’m Azzie Drauch, I’m a disabled and autistic author from the Midwest with a passion for bringing my stories to life.

I have been writing since I was a child, but when Iwas first diagnosed with my disability, I became a shell of a person, even putting my pen down for a long time.

Originally, I was misdiagnosed with severe scoliosis, but now, as an adult, I have been properly diagnosed. I have Hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, a connective tissue disorder that causes alot of issues with pain and my day-to-day. For those of you who have met me before, you have possibly seen me in crutches or even in a wheelchair; this is why.

The physical and mental parts of my disability took a huge toll on me for most of my teenage years and also some of my young adult life, but now that I have learned to manage and cope with my disability and the disadvantages it comes with, I have picked my pen back up.

I’m a dog mom, a wife, and I dream to be a parent to a tiny human one
day. I have big dreams to have millions of people read my books as well.
